SITE TRANSPARENCY

Privacy Policy

This draft explains the data practices that can be established from the StonePlan Tools website source code. It is not yet the effective policy for a launched website.

Draft prepared: Effective date: Not yet set

1. About this policy

StonePlan Tools is a resource for estimating stone, gravel, driveway, drainage and landscaping materials. This document describes the website features reviewed during development and the information that may be processed when those features are used. It does not describe an account-based service: the reviewed implementation has no user registration or account area.

StonePlan Tools is a working website name. The legal identity and contact details of the website operator have not been approved for public disclosure. They must be confirmed before this draft becomes an effective policy.

2. Information involved in a website visit

Loading a webpage involves a request through the visitor's browser and the network infrastructure that serves the site. Such requests can contain an IP address, requested page address, date and time, browser or device information, and request headers. Hosting and security services may process technical information to deliver pages, prevent abuse and troubleshoot service problems.

Which provider receives that information, whether traffic logs or infrastructure analytics are enabled, and how long any logs are kept have not yet been confirmed for the launch environment. These facts must be filled in after the final hosting configuration is audited. The source code review alone cannot establish the data practices of a future CDN or hosting account.

3. How the calculators handle measurements and prices

The five calculator implementations reviewed during development perform their estimating calculations using JavaScript in the visitor's browser. Inputs can include dimensions, depth, material and supplier descriptions, density, ordering quantities, prices and delivery charges. The reviewed calculator scripts compute and display results on the page rather than submitting these values to a calculation backend.

Some tools allow visitors to copy a results summary to the device's clipboard or open the browser's print function. These actions are initiated by the visitor; after copying or printing, the data is subject to the device, browser, clipboard and print-system behavior. The source review found no calculator-specific code persisting those entries to localStorage or sessionStorage, or automatically placing them in a shareable URL.

This describes the reviewed calculator code, not every network request generated while a webpage loads. If analytics events, URL-sharing features, remote calculation services or storage are introduced during integration, this explanation must be reviewed before they are enabled.

4. Why information may be processed

Technical website-request information may be needed to deliver pages and assets, maintain availability, diagnose errors and protect services from abuse. Calculator values in the reviewed implementation are used by the browser to produce the results that visitors request. Any operator-side analysis or retention of website requests must be described more specifically once the hosting and security configuration is verified.

There is no user-account profile or newsletter registration in the reviewed foundation. This draft does not claim that information is used for targeted advertising or marketing.

5. Cookies, browser storage and consent

The reviewed website foundation and calculator code do not create application cookies or use browser local or session storage to retain measurements and calculations. This is a statement about the examined application code, not an assertion that every browser visiting a final hosted version receives no cookies.

Infrastructure and other services added at deployment may use cookies, identifiers or related technologies for security, measurement or other purposes. No verified cookie inventory, provider retention settings or optional-tracking consent interface is available yet. Any nonessential technology that needs consent must be evaluated and, where applicable, blocked until a valid choice is made; a privacy policy by itself is not a consent mechanism.

Visitors can use their browser controls to inspect, clear or block cookies and site storage. These controls may affect any features that depend on the relevant technologies. A site-specific preference control will be described here only if one is implemented and tested.

6. Analytics and advertising

No Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Cloudflare Web Analytics, Vercel Analytics or Google advertising tag was identified in the application source reviewed for this draft. A shared advertisement component exists but is disabled by default. These source-level findings do not establish what may later be configured outside the repository.

Google AdSense has been discussed as a future possibility, but future plans are not evidence that ads are being served now. This draft does not claim that advertising cookies or personalized advertising are active. Before advertising or new analytics are enabled, the operator must verify all participating providers, data disclosures, user choices and any legally or contractually required consent mechanism, and publish an updated policy.

7. Contact messages and privacy requests

The reviewed source branch does not yet provide an implemented public contact form. This Privacy Policy page does not collect contact names, email addresses or message text through a form. If a contact form or email channel is added, the operator must disclose what is submitted, how messages are delivered, any anti-spam processing, who can access them and how long they are retained.

Before publication: A functioning public contact method for privacy questions and applicable privacy-rights requests must be provided here. No email address, mailbox, form submission, automatic deletion feature or response deadline is implied by this development draft.

8. Service providers, sharing and retention

Serving a website generally requires network and hosting infrastructure that processes requests. The actual hosting, content delivery, security and email-related providers for the final StonePlan Tools deployment are not yet verified. The reviewed calculator source does not contain a separate service that receives calculator measurements for processing, but that does not eliminate routine website-request processing by infrastructure providers.

The code review did not identify an advertising or analytics recipient for calculator inputs. It is not possible to make a categorical promise about all third-party processing, data sales or sharing under the definitions of applicable privacy laws until the final services and commercial arrangements have been reviewed.

No reliable retention period for hosting logs, security events or future messages can be stated at this point. Any applicable retention schedules, deletion practices, legal exceptions and provider controls must be reviewed with the operator and documented before publication.

9. Information security

The reviewed website is designed as a static Astro website without visitor accounts, and its calculator computations take place in the browser. Those choices reduce some application data-handling needs, but do not eliminate risks associated with networks, hosting services, browser devices or future integrations. The operator must verify its actual HTTPS, access-control and hosting-security settings. No website can promise absolute security.

10. Your choices and privacy rights

Depending on where you live, which laws apply to the operator, and how your information is processed, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information; to object to or restrict processing; to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; or to opt out of certain uses or disclosures. The scope of those rights, identity checks and applicable response procedures depend on the relevant law.

The reviewed website has no visitor accounts, so the operator may not be able to associate an anonymous page visit with a particular person without sufficient information. Requests involving hosting or third-party records may require a verified provider-specific process. A real and secure way to submit requests, rather than a decorative button, must be established before publication.

Browser settings provide independent controls for deleting browsing data and limiting cookies. These actions should not be understood as deleting information a separate service provider might hold.

11. Visitors outside the United States

StonePlan Tools is written primarily for US readers but could be accessed from elsewhere. The operator's legal jurisdiction, the location of processing providers and any international data transfers have not yet been confirmed. Any required controller identity, lawful basis, transfer disclosures, representative details or complaint routes under applicable European or UK law must be finalized following a legal and provider review.

12. Children's privacy

The site's intended subject is general construction and landscaping estimation, not services directed to children. The reviewed application has no child-specific registration or profiling feature. That design intention does not by itself determine whether a children's privacy law applies; any future features that collect information from children require a separate assessment.

13. Links to other websites

Guides may contain ordinary links to suppliers, technical references or other external websites. Visiting such a link opens a separate service with its own privacy practices. An ordinary link is different from a third-party script, image, font or embedded service loaded automatically on this website; any such embedded resources must be assessed as part of the final deployment audit.

14. Changes and effective date

This document is a development draft prepared on ; it has not been assigned a publication-effective date. When an accurate policy is approved and published, its effective date will be displayed near the top. Later substantive updates should be reflected in the published policy with a true updated date and any additional notice required by applicable law.

15. Questions about this policy

This draft has no verified public privacy contact method. Before launch, StonePlan Tools must provide an accessible, functioning channel for privacy questions and requests and update this section accordingly. Do not rely on this draft as a way to submit a request.
